About Us

Australian Chamber of Commerce - South China (AustCham - SC), formerly known as the Australian Business Association in Guangzhou (ABA) and China Australia Chamber of Commerce – South China (CACC), was formed to promote, develop and expand business relations between Australia and China. Since its inception in 1994, it has grown rapidly to provide a forum to enable its members to exchange information on business opportunities within this region. Our members are made up of Australians and other people representing the broad range of nationalities, which comprise the business community in southern China.

Activities of the AustCham - SC include a monthly ‘get-together’ with drinks and snacks. These are informal functions where members and guests can mingle and share the experience of living and working in China. We provide a good opportunity for people to network or simply catch-up with old friends and meet new ones. Business meetings are also arranged on a regular program to allow the business community to meet business delegations, ministers, and corporate and political notables. Also we organize events in conjunction with other foreign Chambers of Commerce in Guangzhou, such as ‘Inter-Chamber Drinks’ and annual 'Guangzhou International Spring Ball'.

We have a number of special commemorative social events each year (e.g., Australian Day Reception, ANZAC Day Commemoration, Melbourne Cup Luncheon, Christmas Party); planned weekends away; business breakfast briefings with guest speakers, and lunch seminars on hit topics. You would be advised of these and other events by fax or email.

Corporate Membership fee is RMB 4,000 per year, Australian citizens or PRs and individuals of other nationalities, RMB 500 per year.
